Default Electric to Glow conversion

Hey my friends, Is it possible to convert an Electric powered model to a Glow powered model ? I guess the only problem would be in the firewall area. I"m disgusted that glow powered models are on there way out. Time to improvise.

There is a thread on this site devoted to doing just that. Go to the "Electric to glow conversions" thread.

Default Nitro NOT on way out!

Hi friend!
Nitro is not on the way out- it has just taken a back seat to electric.
I actually started out electric but it wasn't long before I got tired of those batteries and all of the issues that they have.
Sure it was clean and less stuff to take to the field but if you don't have lots of pre-charged batteries (which takes forever) you don't get much flight time.
Any time I crashed the battery was history. Sometimes they even caught fire!
The batteries swell up at times which is a fire hazard.
They can explod while charging so you always have to monitor them during that time.
I was happy to go glow and still love it!
One gallon of fuel and I can fly all day long-and use it in any planes I bring!
There is still a market for glow power.
There are lots and lots of us with many glow engines and NO PLANS TO GO ELECTRIC!!!!
