Removing mill rings from aluminum cowls

What is best method to remove mill rings from alum busa 1/4 cowl?

Mill rings??????? Are these spun aluminum? If so and the rings run around the circumference removing them may be difficult. If spun then they are part of operator error as he formed the cowl over the plug. I have an old BUSA !/3 scale Pup and the cowl is near perfect good enough for polishing if you wanted to. Contact BUSA and see what they have to say.
