Default SIG Hog Bipe

I have a SIG Hog Bipe. I love the plane, but the landing gear is a bit weak or soft. The only replacement gear I have seen is a fiberglass gear set that works well but seems kind of... well, ugly. Does anyone know of a source of replacement gear that looks like the original gear but is a bit stronger? Thanks; Ernie P.

I bent some music wire to conform to the shape of the inside of the stock landing gear and bolted the wire to the gear. It stiffened it up quite a bit and made the gear usable. The main problem with that thing is the plane is considerably heavier than it needs to be.

Sir; thanks for that tip. I may well wind up doing something very similar. Thanks; Ernie P.

I use this to replace aluminium gear. Used on a hog bipe too! It is heavier than original. It keeps moving from plane to plane. BTW it helps if you move the gear forward a 1/4" The hog bipe tends to nose over without it

Thank you, Sir. And thanks for the tip on relocating the gear forward. Thanks; Ernie P.
