Default Calling Dr Kiwi

Hello all

I am trying to contact Dr kiwi , for I have a question concerning the Electrifly rimfire 120:

Best prop and esc on 6 s ?

I have tried to send PM's to the good Dr , but for some reason they never seem to go thru ...

Couls someone relay this message ?

Thanks

80 amp ESC is recommended, but the best prop will be determined by the plane and what kind of performance you're looking for. A scale plane that you want long flights on will need a very different prop than a 3D plane that you want to tear up the skies with for 5 minutes at a time.

Hello and thanks for your reply

It will be for a seagull t -34 . These motors apparently tend to have over optomistic amp ratings , for wich the good Dr was warning us about ) .. . thats why I was asking

I will prop it so that it stays in the 70-80 amp
I will try an 16-6 and a 16 -8

cheers

Francois

You shouldn't prop for 80 amps if you have an 80 amp ESC. Shoot for 60-65 max. On 6s, that will give you just under 1500 watts at full charge and around 1200 depleted depending the quality of your batteries. So that's enough power for scalelike flying on a 15 pound plane.
