Default Frequency Scanner

Anyone have or know of where I can obtain the schematics to make a Frequency scanner. Looking for one for our club, especially for the Fly-Ins.

Can you recommend a make, model, etc.? The last time I looked at these, about a year ago, the cost was prohibitive.
