Default Carl Goldberg Field box

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Carl Goldberg "Monster" & "Super" field tote box comes with the PowerPanel section already cut out. I was looking at buying one but dont want to get the control panel yet. Just dont want to have a big hole there until I get a panel.

I have the super tote and when I bought the kit, the hole was cut out. Not to size, but nonetheless there was a hole.

If you want to save some money, make your own power panel with a few banana jacks and a switch for your pump. You could mount them in a piece of lite ply which fits over the opening.

The glow power would be more difficult to make but I never use it anyway.

CG Super Tote does have a cutout - if your panel falls thru the hole, you can make a false panel out of 1/8 in ply or masonite...

I bought a super tote last week more as a sentimental thing than anything (I had one about 15 years ago when I first started the hobby). Every piece of wood in the box was warped. No kidding, there wasn't a straight piece in there. I think it was from sitting in Tower's warehouse (had trouble with them in the past). Has anyone else had this problem?

The hole is cut out, but if you don't like it you can build a plate to put over it out of glass, plastic, wood, formica, you name it. Pretty easy fix.

The CarlGoldberg SuperTote is a dissapointment..... I looked at the wood and took it back; went out to Home Depot, bought $12 in wood/glue and made a real nice box with close to the same dimensions. Don't waste your time and $$ with that substandard wood.
