Default Frisket Paper?

Hi Guys,
This may be a stupid question, but I have heard guys talking about using "frisket paper" as masking for their markings. But um... well... what is frisket paper and where do I get it? Is it the same thing as shelf paper?

Thanks.
Russ.

Default Frisket

It really is film, not paper. There is a paper backing but it is not used for masking. Comes in two surfaces, matte and glossy. Both are translucent. Where to get it---any good artist supply store will have it. Comes in rolls and as single sheets (in a multiple pack). Unlike shelf paper, it has a very low "tack" or stickiness. Regards.

Default Frisket Paper?

Thanks guys. I tried a local art supply store on my way home from work tonight. They were out of it. I think I can get some tomorrow though.

Default Re: Frisket

It's designed to come off, but it can stick pretty hard (at least the stuff I used). An artist friend of mine says the trick to reduce the stickiness is to press the sticky side to your pant leg.
