Default Source for 3/16" Nose Gear and Bearing

Hi all,

I'm looking for a source for 3/16" wire coiled nose gear for a 6-8 lb airplane. Sig and Dubro make 5/32" but that's not strong enough (too much flex). Fults Tooling makes a double strut but I'm interested in a less expensive solution with a single strut configuration.

I would also need the bearing so that the gear can be mounted to the firewall.

Sounds like you could benefit from a wire & coil bender? Then you could make your own. Don't see why you couldn't drill out the small size bearing to fit.

Actually I'm intested in purchasing the gear pre-made. I don't have the time, patience, or tools needed to make the parts myself. Somebody has to manufacture these at a reasonable price.

Do you have a recommendation for one like this? One that will bend 5/32 - 1/4" wire?
Thanks,
Jim
