Default thick as a brick/ why isnt 1/4 .25 120 scale???

now a 1.2 is twice as big as a 60 or is it called a .60 so what does that mean to scale I thought a quarter scale craft would be like basis points or .25 would be quarter size and so on I could not find a post that translates this so i could understand it (Doh)

When you are talking about a 60 sized or 1.20 sized plane, the number is referring to the size of glow fuel 2 stroke engine that is recommended to fly it. This has nothing to do with the 'scale' of the plane as different styles of planes have vastly different power requirements.

On a scale plane i.e. a miniture replica of an actual full size plane, the scale is usually referrred to as a fraction or a percentage.
For example, a plane may be referred to as 1/6, 1/5 or 1/4 scale; larger aerobatic planes tend to use percentages eg 25%, 27%, 33%.
