Default Where to buy Sig kits in Augusta GA or surrounding areas

Hi all,

I am looking to go to Augusta GA on business early next month (May) and was wondering if anyone can suggest a place where in the area I can pick up a Sig 1/3 Spacewalker at a reasonable price.

Ordering the Spacewalker and having shipped to Australia is too expensive so I thought I'd use the opportunity.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

I would recommend that you order it from Tower Hobbies to be delivered at the hotel or place of business. If you are going to be there for a couple of weeks, it would be easy.

http://www.hodgeshobbies.com/ I would suggest making a side trip to Andersonville GA. It's about a 2.5 hour drive from Augusta. Mac Hodges is a great fellow, and has the best stocked hobby shop I've seen. He caters to Giant Scale builders, carries Sig, Zenoah, and other higher end engines. Call him up, and he will have everything waiting for you. He flies a 20' wingspan B-29 that drops a rocket powered Bell X-1. That is something to see. You might even be able to get a Aussie discount! We don't get many of our friends from down under here in the south. There is a Civil war museum a few miles away as well as Jimmy Carter's birthplace of Plains GA. If you need any more info, just drop me an email.

I had thought of that but for some reason, Tower don't carry the 1/3 Spacewalker.
I'm only staying for 3 days or so, so I was hoping to get in touch with a local shop that could have the kit ready for me to pick up.

Does anyone have information on shops in Augusta?
I have sent an e-mail to Mac as suggested but still to receive a reply.
Andersonville is a bit far away for me to go to, as I will be running a tight schedule.

Thanks in advance

Ari
