Default TORNADO FUEL

Hello,

I use 10% Heli Tornado fuel for my airplanes, heli and car.
Until now I don't have any problems.
I just bought an OS FS-52S and the manual suggests fuel with minimum oil content 18%.

The local hobystore owner told me that Tornado has 14% oil but it is very good quality and
that I shall use it for my new four stroke OS engine.

Any comments/suggestions?

Yes! Get some de-gummed castor oil, and add 2-3 oz. to your fuel. Byrons originals sells this just for adding to fuel. You may find some at the local motorcycle shop, just be sure to get the kind that mixes with alcohol, as opposed to the kind that mixes with gasoline. In a pinch, you can find it at the drugstore, just be sure to get "Bakers AA"" castor, or de-gummed castor oil. You should run what the manufacture suggests, not what the LHS is trying to sell.

I forgot to tell you that I live in Crete, Greece. So I've never seen Byron's originals in my life

Thanks anyway for your reply.

Don't skimp on oil in a 4-stroke. If the engine calls for 18% oil, then 14% is not enough.

To bring the oil content up just by adding to the current fuel, you'll need to add appx 5 oz per gallon. 4% X 128 oz = 4.96 oz.
