Default wire landing gear, too springy

Can we assume this in on a trainer? If so, the answer is... leave it alone. If you are getting high bounces, the bouncing you are getting is saving your plane. Put the effort into practicing landings.

If, on the other hand, the bouncing is minor, you can reduce the bounce by either putting some cable between the legs of the gear, or soldering another piece of wire between them. A better way is to replace the wire with solid gear.

This set of 5/32 wire gear is on its third trainer. However, it is REAL 5/32 piano/music/whatever wire; NOT the soft crap with the shiny fake-chrome plating which comes with most Asian ARF trainiers.

The cross brace is made form the same stuff; fitted, wrapped with copper wire, and soldered (you need a big gun or torch to handle this sort of job).
