The door sequencing using just one channel is usually done by buying a little $30 to $50 circuit which you plug in between the servos and the RX.

The little circuit actually controls the servos... just sensing if the switch has been thrown on the TX. The electronic relays initiate the gear door opening, then move the retracts then reclose the doors.

Yes FHHuber, thanks for reply. In fact i have a JOMAR door sequencer, but it does´nt function well on pcm.

I understand that Futaba 9CAP radio could be programed for this operation with out any external device, but i need to know how.

Regards.

it probably can be programmed for it (I haven't hunted through the manual for that)... But it would require at least 2 channels... one for the retracts, the other for the doors.

Your requirement of using just one channel... ain't happening. You can't just Y out from the RX and have 2 different servos do 2 different things. It could be done mechanicly... (that's a mess...)

THE most reliable setup for sequencing gear doors is either the Ultraprecision U.P.2 or the U.P.3 valves! 1 valve and one servo does the job, no programming required. See these valves at the following website:

I want to set this up on my 8U, and figured out how. (The programming for the 8U and 9C are close) I don't have my notes with me, but basically you set up a mix using a three position switch. The gear down is on the forward position of the switch. The middle position would be door open, and the back position would be gear retracted and doors closed. You could also have the forward position as door closed. (I am setting this up on a Ziroli Corsair). The only thing you have to be careful of is allowing enough time for the gear to cycle before closing the doors. If you pulled the switch back to quickly, you might be able to close the doors before the gear is retracted. I checked with Don Edberg on this, he agreed that it would not be a problem doing.
This is one of the many advantages Futaba has over JR with switch assignments.

Thanks Thumper1, a three position switch is a great idea.
