Neon Green Monokote paint matching
Has anyone matched a paint to Neon Green Monokote?
I need to paint my cowl and would like a nice match of course. I figure I can clear coat any paint to make it fuel proof. My biggest concern is the matching.

An automotive paint store can do it if you take in a sample of the covering, but you're probably looking at a minimum of a quart of paint ($$$$). I'd be very tempted to use a contrasting color unless it would totally ruin the look of the plane.

Another option is to see if they can match the color in latex. If they can match it, it should cost about $10 for a quart. You will need to provide a sample of the covering/color.
I have also seen 1/2 pint and 1 pint cans of pre mixed neon colors in Wal Mart . You might be able to find a match in that.

Another thought was to use "RC SPRAY 3OZ FLUOR GREEN [PAC281] by Pactra
It is used for painting the inside of the RC car bodies. As for a match that is still in question.
I would think that Top Flight or any of the the other covering manufacturers would have color matching tips for the colors that they don't produce in a line like Lustrecote.
I will look into getting an exact paint match I may try the Pactra spray paint as well just out of curiosity.
Please keep the ideas flowing

RE: Neon Green Monokote paint matching
I found a paint match and technique that will get you really close so I wanted to note it for others. After trying MANY others and many application techniques, I used Tamiya Fluorescent Green Spray.
Tamiya PS-28 Polycarbonate Fluorescent Green Spray

The trick is that this paint is semi transparent so you have to paint onto a white surface or under color. I then applied ONLY two very light coats. The most difficult part of applying the two coats is to get even coverage. 18 inches of spray distance really helped with this. Then you must let it dry for 24 hours. It will get a chalky appearance and texture when dry then, apply a clear coat in several light coats as usual.
