Default How do you protect the covering while in the car?

The one time I left my plane in the car at work the covering wrinkled. If I want to fly after work how do I protect the covering? Thanks

Try not to put it in the sun.

Maybe you could use some alumium foil to cover it, dunno if it will work though, the best thing to do is avoid heat.

Would you leave your baby in a locked up car on a summer day?

Keep the windows open.

If you live where windows and doors need to be locked, leave the plane home (Or take it into the office with you)

There's little you can do. The simple answer is to somehow avoid putting it into the car without the a/c running.

Even out of the direct sun with the windows open, it gets hot enough in the summer to cause wrinkles.

You must be flying a glider or an electric because your concern
is focused on wrinkles and not on heated fuel . If you are flying
gas or glow , now that the fuel issue has been brought to your attention ,the
wrinkles could be the least of your problems.

Vent the fuel container and you should be fine. I really doubt that the methanol fuel will explode from a heated car. I wouldn't want to leave gasoline in there though.

If you vent a container of methanol in an enclosed car, will a substantial portion not evaporate? What about when he gets in his car and arcs a spark on some electrical component?

I'll throw in a third problem; the batteries are going to WAY degrade in the heat of a closed car all day...
