Default building in dihedral

Hello guys, I crashed me trainer last week due to a servo problem and the crash didnt damage the wing to bad, so I am going to take the dihedral out. I had to cut one of the wing bays closest to the middle of the wing so I went haed and cut the other bay on the oppposite wing panel. Now the question is how do I build a little bit of dihedral into the wing before I glue the panels back together?. Both sides are flat. Here is a pic, please let me know how can make this work

In your case, I would get a block of basswood about 1/4" thick and cut it to the rough shape of the wing roots. Then sand the block at a slight angle on both sides until you get the amount of dihedral that you want. Use 30min epoxy to join the wings to the basswood. Once the epoxy has cured, you can then sand the center joint smooth, and then glass the joint for additional strength. That is actually how the wing on my old GP Trainer 60 went together, although the sheeting wasn't attached yet so I could use clamps to hold everything together while it cured.

I agree with Connery, but have a question.

What's the "hole" in the wing root? It looks as though it has a rod or something in it, and was probably some type of wing joiner. If that's the case, I'd drill it out and add a dowel to help stregthen that center section.

The hole is where there was an aluminum pole for suport. Thanks for the ideas, that was what I though but I figured I would ask, you never know what kind of ideas you will get on this iste.

My question would be why add the dihedral? If you think you were doing pretty good flying just build it flat. Easier to align and glue. A high wing plane has inherent dihedral anyways.

I was thinking about doing that, which I am now going to do.

It was my impression that the man was removing the dihedral from the wing, did I loose my ability to undrestand or just my TEXAS spelling AGAIN?
