Four Star 60 Receiver Antenna
I am finishing up a rebuild on a Sig four star 60 and am just about ready to cover it but I have a quick question.
I have the receiver antenna almost completely inside the fuselage running through two sections of Sullivan nylon sleeves. At the very end there is only about three inches of antenna that can actually go outside the fuselage. If I keep all of the antenna inside the fuselage will this affect the reciver at all? I can only pull the last couple of inches outside the end of the fuselage but I'm not sure if I really need to do this or not. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Steve Hord

RE: Four Star 60 Receiver Antenna
I ran the receiver antenna inside the fuse of my Four Star 60, so far no problem. I've been flying it for the last two months and the range is fine.

RE: Four Star 60 Receiver Antenna
Bill,
Thanks for the information. I wasn't sure if the four star was designed to have the antenna inside or not and I've lost planes in the past because of lack of range. Now I can finish the re-covering job tonight knowing I won't be making a fatal mistake.
