autonomous UAV
Although there are new regulations concerning auav's, does anybody know of a manufacturer that supplies the technology to convert my r/c model into a autonomous aircraft, or subsystems that i could assemble such as GPS system, modem and computer hardware etc. I would be gratefull for any information on this topic.
My aircraft is my own design with the following spec:
T-tail
V = 9 - 10 m/s
wing area = 0.16016 m^2
Weight = 550g
astro motor 010 with 3.3 gear box
2s2p kokam lithium polymer batteries @ 7.4v
controlled by elevator and fin

Your best option will be products offered by
http://www.micropilot.com/
and
http://www.u-nav.com/
Looking over your planes specs- it looks like you be unsatisfied with your end result-(MHO) Why drop 1-5K on a such a small UAV conversion.

We tried Micropilot...this company's autopilots are 1000 times better and much more flexible. The guys are great to talk to if you have any questions or anything. Also has hardware-in-the-loop simulation so you get everything set right before going to the field.
