RE: PICA MODELS
They do not appear to be in business for time being. I have read conflicting reports whether the closure is permanent, or whether they are relocating the business to South America. For now, hobby shops I contacted are not able to obtain any new stock. Pica appears to be gone, but it would be a nice surprise if they resumed operation. Their former website (www.picaweb.com) does not respond.

RE: PICA MODELS
Last October I was able to get a canopy for my 1/5 Spit from them. The former owner "Monty" told me the company had been sold after relocating to South America. He told me at the time the new owners are going to reenter the market this sping and to look for ads.
Will post any additional info as I get it

RE: PICA MODELS
I met the owner at a hobby show about 3 years ago, seemed like a super nice guy and as far as I am concerned they make great kits .After years of waiting I bought one of the last 1/6 P40 from Sheldons in Norher Cal , the kit is excellant , great instructions , parts and lasor cutting .
The bigger problem with kit building for me is time and when you look at the Value of the ARfs it makes you think .
