Default Aquirred a kit from 1961

Hey there folks,

I just acquired a RC airplane kit that is from 1961 all the parts are still there in the original packaging and it is still in it's original box. This kit is from ECKTRONICS ans is a Freedom 7 model. The required engine for this airplane is a 049- 099 wing span is 40 inches wing area is 280 sq in and the weight is 25 oz. Can anyone tell me anything more about this airplane or if it might be worth anything seeing that it is still brand new in the original box yet it is so old? I looked on the Internet but could not find anything so I thought I would bring it to the forum. I also acquired a JR remote control Multi function micro computer radio control system 6 channel digital 512 ABC&W system Net-w126FZ. Anyone know anything about this radio? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you are going to build the kit yourslef, it looks like a very good candidate for an electric motor.

I have a kit from the 60's . It is a Berkely Navion. A friend built one about 5 years ago and it was spectacular. But he did mention that he felt funny about building such an old kit. He said he felt like he just ate the last DoDo bird .

I remember a fellow club member had one at the field in the mid 60s. If I remember right, it was named after the rocket launch of the same name.
