Default Servo extensions & Y connectors

Hi,

I want to position my receiver where it would be hard to access it, so I want to connect extensions to the aileron & flaps servos.
Since these servos already use extensions, it would mean 2 extension in a row.
Do you think it would diminish the signal quality?
Is there a difference for digital servos vs. regular?

Thank in advance

A lot will depend on the current draw of the servo. Even if you are using digitals, if you control surface load is light (Trainer or Sailplane) then their will not be a problem. If you are doing 3D work with a large aerobatic plane with large control surfaces, then it will be a problem.

Another possible problem. If you are not using gold plated or very high quality connectors, they will slowly accumulate a bit of corrosion which will eventually cause intermittent contact and loss of control; usually first noted as occasional glitching. Just unplugging and replugging in the connectors will sometimes temporarily correct the problem. If at all possible, use the minimum number of connectors possible and exercise those you have to use occasionally. The higher the current draw of the servos, the more prevalent this problem becomes.

I have use two extensions on my ailerons with no problems to
date... But I was told to cut-off the servo plug and extend the
wire by soldering it, so as to use only one gold plated extension
at the reciever for less problems....
