Right Flyer 40T
Hi,
I got this plane at a garage sale for 5 bucks.
It a trianer with the words Right Flyer 40T on Vertical Stab and Wing.
It is an ARF and it didn't come with instructions. Anybody have one or now who makes it? I need to find out Control throws, Engine Thrust offset, CG.
If anybody has any info I would be greatfull
Thanks

This was my first (and my dad's current) trainer. They are very good trainer airplanes. I think it's a Global ARF, but look at Tower. They probably sell it.
Ours has a Magnum 46. Flies very good and it pretty durable.

Thanks MHawker,
It is a Global Product.
Did a google search and found web page with specs and exact picture. But no instruction manual.
I am going to email global and see if they have a manual. The Mark II model has a manual you can download hopefully I can find one for the original.

I have a manual
Where did you find the exact picture of your Right Flyer 40T? I also have an 40T (the original) and all I can find is the Mark II.
By the way, I still have the manual...
Thank,
C.P.

Cyberpilot,
Here is the URL http://www.globalhobby.com/globalarf/rf40t.htm
Since you have the manual could you do me a favor?
could you look up the following?
Balance point (CG) measurement in relation to leading edge of wing ?
Measurements of amount engine should be offset (right thrust)?
All control surface throws?
I sent an email to global but haven't heard back.

Yup! That's my plane! Thanks for the link.
I happen to have the manual at work with me...
Balance Point: 4" back from the wing leading edge
Engine offset: Right offset (doesn't say how much)
Control Surface throws-
Rudder: 1/2" from center in each direction (1" total)
Elevator: 3/8" from center in each direction (3/4" total)
Ailerons: 1/4" from center in each direction (1/2" total)
If you want a copy of the manual, please ask Global if they have any problems with me making a copy and I'd be happy to e-mail it to you in Adobe .pdf format.
Hope this helps,
C.P.

THANKS CYBERPILOT!!!!
I'll ask Global about the manual as soon as they respond.
Is this plane dicontinued?
Have you flown yours? How did you like it?
I'm hoping to let my 8 yr daughter learn on it

Crashem,
I'm having scanner problems and can't copy the manual right now. I hope to have it fixed or replaced by the end of the week. Hope the info I gave you earlier will be good enough till then. If there is anything else that you need right now let me know.
