Zenoa 26
Hey, I'm looking for an airplane to put my Zenoa 26 in, a kit. I want to build something. Probably something aerobatic. Any suggestions anybody has would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Zenoa 26
I just bought one really cheap from my LHS that was going out of business and am thinking seriously about putting it in a Dynaflite Decathalon. I've heard good things about that kit and the price is right too ($139.00 from Tower).

Will, I do have a Dynaflitr PT-19 about all roughed in I'm just trying to figure out how to cover it. It says to use fabric so it doesn't have flying fits.

Jim, you'll have to post some pics of your PT-19 when it's done. I am planning on using SolarTex to cover mine. I like the Tex coverings much more than Monokote, especially with this type of airplane. Good luck with it.

Will I'm planning on using Solar Tex also then paint it with Sigs paint. Iwant to keep it as close as possible to the original colors. Do you have The Robart struts too?

Hi,
I'm sure there are many options. I can speak for the Dynaflite PT 19. Very easy kit to build and looks great in the air. I covered mine with SIG Coverall and painted it. The only thing I would do differently is power it with a four stroke. The Zenoah should also be a great choice. I have an OS 108 in mine. Plenty of power but sounds like a two stroke[&o]
Cheers,
Colin

Colin, nice looking plane! Jim, I don't have the Robart struts, I do want to get them when I build the kit. I have to finish my Hog Bipe and a Great Planes Fokker to clear the work bench for that large PT-19. I'm really loking forward to building it, the PT-19 has such classic lines.

Hi Jim,
Apologies if this appears twice but my computer appears to be having some sort of melt down.
Coverall can be applied to the frame with dope or SIG's heat activated (iron down after the adhesive drys), "Stickit". You then finish with you favourite paints. Coverall is very strong and is shrunk with a heat gun. You need to be carefull not to shrink too aggressively with fragile parts as it may distort them if you get too carried away. Coverall is a joy to use on compound curves and other complex shapes.
If you wanted to use a precoloured iron on fabric I have had great success (easy to use) with Solartex.
Cheers,
Colin

I had the Robo Struts in my Hangar 9 Pt 19. I feel that they are worth the investment.
Does anybody have any suggestions foe an aerobatic type of model for the G26? Kit or ARF?
