Import/Export tax
Am fairly new to the hobbie but can clearly see the price differences between the cost of buying a model at home in the uk and prices in the usa. can anybody advise on the pros and cons of buying and shipping from the usa. the rate of tax payable and is it even advisable to do such a thing given the possible damage that can ocure in transit.

It Depends On What You Want I Recently Brought A Kit That Was Not Available In The Uk The Kit Was $200 + Shipping $42 The Only Problem Was When The Parcel Van Delivered It 10 Days Later He Gave Me A Bill For Import Tax Service Charge & Vat That Totaled £53 This Meant That A Kit At $200 Actually Cost Me About £225
