Giant Scale Planes P-47
Does anyone have any experience with this AFR kit? Good- Bad or what is better. In the same price range. What engine is best for this model.

Giant Scale Planes P-47
Some people have had good experiences with their purchases from GSP, while others have NOT. QC across their product line is spotty, covering and paint are not up to modern ARF standards (!), hardware packages are on the marginal side. Their kits as a whole seem to need more work to make them right, and they're not cheap.
One of my flying mates has the 55" P-47. OMG where do I begin with this one.
Here's my point. I wouldn't buy a GSP ARF *unless* I really really wanted a model that's not available from GP, H9 or WM.

- huge join seam in the FG fuselage along the bottom
- unfinished white ABS plastic aileron servo covers which attach to the wing using screws into the balsa sheeting. (no hardpoints)
- cheapo metric hardware
- "music wire" that snaps if yuo try to bend it
- landing gear mounts are epoxied into the foam wing. AGain, no hard points.
- landing gear is set too far back... the plane noses over very easily. Bending the wire gear forward helps a bit here.
- paint on the FG cowl cracks and flakes off if you look at it too hard
- stalls deep and will spin if you let the speed get too low
- supplied tailwheel = junk, throw it away before it breaks your rudder off
- covering is thin, Econokote-like stuff and melts easily
- If you need parts you have to purchase a whole new kit. We don't stock parts for these. <-- direct quote from GSP
