Some years ago I was working with another modeler cutting cores and we got foam from the manufacturer, in Dallas, in this case. They extruded the foam and could make a slab to almost any desired size. I've looked a little in the Twin Cities, but haven't found a source like that. But I would think there is someone there.

look in the yellow pages under plastics/foam.if for wing cores you are looking for 1 pound density expanded polystryene e.p.s
