Default Extremely tight wing joiner-please help

I everyone, I have a Edge 540 that uses an aluminum shaft to join the two wing halves with the fuse. The aluminum shaft is so tight in the wing halves that I don't want to push it in for fear of breaking the wings.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of this issue ?

Thanks

i would use some 400 wet or dry paper wet on the aluminum tube, till it gut easier to slide in then wax or polish the tube with car wax so that it slides in easier.
