Default Canopy hinging suggestion?

I am completing my Condor Voodoo glider and will need to access the canopy area each time I assemble and disassemble the plane. Does anyone have any quick release suggestions on how I might fasten the canopy. I really don't want to use screws. I was considering some type of hinging device. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Tim

Try using rare earth magnets. I have the canopy for a Sig Something Extra attached using them and they hold the canopy with no problems during flight, but a good tug will remove the canopy when I want it off.

Thank RCKen, I've never heard of rare earth magnets. Where would you purchase these and how would they work...one on the outside of the canopy and the other in the fuselage?

Thanks,
Tim

I've got them at Radio Shack, but a quick Google search will probably yield cheaper results. And yes, you mount them so they will attract each other, or you can use light metal (like house trim metal) on one side, and the magnet on the other side.

Thanks Deadeye, I'll check with the local radio shack. Tim
