RE: T-34 Racing
What do you mean ya need rules? Want idea or are you looking for some sorta structured competition? AMA doesn't really have a t-34 rule set. as far a stater set
1. plane is to be an ARF T-34 with a minimum weight of X no mod to the shape of the airframe.
2. absolutely no mods to the wing shape length chord or airfoil.
3.only mods to model will be for equipment function. servo placement/tank placement and linkage routing
4
can go either way
you are to use this engine with this prop. engine will be tached at start of race to verify max rpm
or
you are limited to this sized motor using this sized prop at such an RPM..
or as simple as this is as big a motor you can use. mod it all ya want
5. ow many models per heat.
keep going from there

RE: T-34 Racing
Redfox,
I raced in the very first World Models T-34 race in Gillroy Ca. at the Tomcats field.
A race or two later the engine requirments were standardized and only the OS 46-FX engine was aloud.
As for the airframe,
Must be "assembled" as per manufactures instructions including cowl and canopy.
No modifacations to the airframe what so ever other than the tail may be sheeted, airframe may be recovered.
If wheels need to be replaced they must be replaced with alike wheels.
The only engine mods aloud, removal of muffler baffle and exhaust outlet on muffler may be drilled out.
That was THEN, now, the OS 46-AX is the required engine (as far as I know).
If I'm not mistaken there was a weight limit as well, 5 lbs. I think.
Were going to start racing here in Nevada and thats why I'm looking for the California rules.
