I think they went out of business several months ago.
I still see a lot of their kits on RCU and eBay.
But, they are getting more expensive nearly every time a kit sells!

Does anybody know who may have aquired the rights and/or manufacturing equipment?

They made great kits. One of my all time favorite planes was a 120 Size Waco YMF-3 I had.
I installed a Supertiger 2500.
It had unlimited vertical and torque rolls were effortless!
Sure wish I had never sold it!

I couldn't believe it when I heard that Cox had bought out Pica! Still waiting for Cox to re-release the Pica kits...

In my humble opinion, don't attempt to hold your breath for the kits to get released. At least not any time soon. They can't seem to keep employees long enough to get anything completed. Remember when they took over Sterling and was saying that all these revised kits would be released? Hmm ... wonder what happened to them ... it's only been about 12 years since that happened.

Before someone asks, yes, I worked for them. I believe there's only one employee that's left that's worth anything at all. They've had some great employees work there, like Doug Binder of Mountain Models, but they usually last for short amounts of time before getting fired or quitting.

Laser Arts has the same opinion as me. I heard about Estes/Cox being ready to bring Pica back out about a year ago. As I recall, point man was Dave Redden. About April, it sounded like Redden and his wife had both left Cox. That was the last I heard of Cox doing anything with their Pica holdings.

I'd enjoy seeing Pica kits brought back by someone, and I'd certainly buy a few kits. I'm not holding my breath.
