Futaba Field Force 9 question
Guys, a quick question for ya. I'm fitting a H9 P51, paired ailerons, two flap servos, two elevator servos, throttle, rudder, gear. Cannthis be done on an 8ch Rx? I have used the "ailevator" mix for the two elevator servos but this now seems to preclude using a spare channel for the second flap servo, yet I still have an output free ont he Rx. Am I missing a trick here or do I need to go and get a 9ch Rx. (Or did you other H9 users mod it to be able to pair the elevator servos?)

RE: Futaba Field Force 9 question
I'm really new at this, so other responses will hopefully follow which actually contain some useful information. (and correct my misinformation).
You can 'Y' the Elevator servos and you prolly dun need 'elevons' or 'flapperons'. You could mix in flapperons for kicks, but do you want elevons? (I don't think you can have both anyway). Your wings sound like they will be doing 'The Wave' with all that mixing.
I will now be corrected. (I learn best by screwing-up).
Good Luck

RE: Futaba Field Force 9 question
Nope, I can't Y the elevators. Woul that it were so simple! The pair of ele servos is situated such that I'm taking outputs from the left side of one and the right side of the other. Think about it! They MUST rotate in opposite directions or I WILL get elevons (which, whilt fun, would be a first for a P51). The only controls I can Y lead are the ailerons s it is set up.

RE: Futaba Field Force 9 question
could you explain a little better. With a y on the alerons I count 8 channels total.
2 elevator
2 flap
1 throttle
1 gear
1 rudder
1 aileron
For the elevators you could use a reversing y harness to save a channel.
