Default Needle Settings for SAITO 182 Twin? help... thx

hello gents,

i recently aquired a h9 cessna skylane 182 with a 182T twin saito engine....

I dont know what needle valve settings both engines should be running at? I bought a tachometer just incase thats how the elite fliers tune their twin cylinder engines, thanks.

It's simple...all you have to do is listen to how the engine behaves and set the two high speed needles accordingly. As with any other glow engine.
Two needles could complicate it a bit but it's easy when you got the knack of it.
Flew a friends Kyosho GEE BEE Z some years ago with one of those with a 16x8 APC prop. Nice flier but hard to land without stalling it...
