Price of Doss Steed's P51?
Short of calling Doss Steed himself, can anyone tell me how much the plans, canopy, fiberglass cowl and fiberglass intake scoop will cost me if I call him this week?
The reason I ask is that I don't want to have any hint of "whining" when I do. He's touchy about his plane's prices.

No, I didn't buy the parts from Doss. Doss passed away the next year in 2006, I believe.
I did however buy Doss' plans from Bob Holman for a good deal less than Doss was charging. After reviewing his plans there are a few things that would have to be changed in order for me to build it. One of them is to chuck the spar he designed to a pair of top and bottom spars and two use 1/8" sheet balsa for the fuse rather than the 3/16" he recommends.
By the way, did you post this info at RCSB also?
