Sig LT-40 Motor Mount Replacement - same firewall bolt pattern?
Had a rough landing today with my LT-40 and luckily the extent of the damage was only a broken engine mount. Tall grass helped provide a somewhat softer landing. DOH [:'(]
Anyone know of a replacement engine mount that would use the same bolt holes in the LT-40 firewall? Sig has their LT-40 ARF engine mount on their page for $10. If this is the same as the kit I might just order two mount sets. Would be cool to pick up something at one of the LHS if it would work with my firewall holes.
Appreciate any input.

That's the SIG large motor mount for .19-.61 engines. It is the mount that is supplied with the Somethin' Extra kit too. I just picked up 4 of them from my LHS, because my Saito 82 keeps breaking them from torque. I paid $3.50 each.

Like Deadeye said, you can get the same mount at your LHS. Broke mine a couple of times too when I had an LT-40. Looks like you made yours a taildragger. How about some more pics? Did you do a steerable tailwheel?

Deadeye - Is it Sig brand or another brand label for the mount?

Take the old one with you to compare. SIG has several sizes and they all look 'about right' when you're staring at them.

Googled and found the right ones on Sig's page... http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmar...01F.html?E+Sig
Looks like the SIGEM001 is the right one. Not sure who carries these around here - just might order a few sets and wait.

I'm using Jtec's 8/32 snuf-vibe mount bushings for vibration reduction. Works awesome. I just countersink a clearance hole on both sides so I can get a bushing on each side. Place a washer over each bushing with the 6/32 bolt, and make sure you use red locktite as you won't be able to tighten the bolts like you normally would. It only adds an 1/8 inch or so to the length.

Broke a couple of these on my LT-40 due to rough landings.
I finally just glued the last broken one with JB weld and bolted aluminum plates on the sides for re-inforcement.
Hasn't broken again but that could be because I finally learned how to land it
