Is an "Elder" an actual WW1 Airplane ?
I have the 1970's Top Flite "Elder Biplane" and it's brother the "Elder Monowing" that I had inherited from from Father. I cannot find any information on the Elder as an actual working Airplane for WW1 era. Can someone please direct me in the direction that I can find this information out. Is this just "Top Flites" verson or an off-shoot of the "Eindecker" ??
Thank you.....happy landings...

Well Bruscoe,
Neither is the Elder Bipe or the Elder is a scale aircraft. The Elder is a sort-of-scale Eindecker.
To answer your question: No, The Elder was never a full scale aircraft.
It was designed to have the look of a WWI aircraft, but to fly better and be more durable than true scale subjects.
