what is the largest prop i can put on this .61 by mds.
help? got a 12x6 but would like to go larger if possible.

Depends on the type of plane you are flying. A 61 2 stroke typically calls for a 12x6, 12x7 prop. You can go to a larger prop, but you should drop the pitch. For instance a 13x5 or 13x6 for similar performance to a 12x6 or 12x7. If you are going to do 3D, you may want to consider a 14x4.

scale. the plane has a huge cowl, maybe 1" to 1.5" outside the cowl with a 12x6. looks are not all im looking for but it is nice, i just hope it would work to give sufficient power for good flight. the plane is a f6f from hangar 9.

Ive got an mds 61 f/r rear port engine with tuned pipe
The manual has a side port verion on the cover with
12x7 and 11x8 prop recommendations my dad has a 12x6
on his 58 so a 12x7 would probably be good on the 61
as it is not a high rever 15500rpm on the manual but Ive
never run mine and would like to see if there were any problems with this
engine before I do it has the brass barrel carb and black head is yours the same
and if so did you have any problems
