If you use a pcm (pulse control modulation) radio there is a less of a chance of interference than fm . . . its a little more pricey but its worth it because usually a pcm radio can be set up to do either pcm or fm . . . so you get the best of both worlds

PCM uses FM modulation on the RF output signal! The difference is the encoding - one uses PCM and one uses PPM.

At its heart pcm is digitally encoded, PPM is analog. If theres interference the digital bit is either on or off, with ppm the pulse could vary and still be acceptable to the reciever but not necesarilly what you are commanding it to do.

Any high rf environments like helicopters and gas ignition engines PCM is the way to go.
