Default Slimline pipe, runs lean?

When I run my OS max .61 with stock muffler it runs great, but after I put on a Slimline pipe it runs lean even if I back the high end needle valve two full turns.
After I plugged one of the two exhaust ports with my finger it idleled up and smoothed out. Thinking about stuffing one of the ports with a wooden dowl, has
anybody experienced this befor?[]

Default RE: Slimline pipe, runs lean?

I've replaced it with a new one.
