12x4 on a TT .46 Pro?
I'm flying on a rough field and I need to get up to take off speed quickly to avoid the bumps of the patchy grass. I'm using an 11x5 on a TT .46 Pro now, is a 12x4 too much? Again, I want more "umph" outta the hole. Right now I'm holding the tail, reving it to WOT and letting go, but its still not enough. I only have a short dirt patch then its all bumps and patchy grass from there.

Ive used APC 12 X 4s on my TT46s with good results.
However my preference is for the APC 11.5 X 4. Gives
just a little more ground clearance.
If you want speed the APC 10 X 7 is good on this motor as well.

If you have the clearance go for the 12x4. You don't say what size wheels you are using, however, I have found that on a grass runway/field you need a MINIMUM of a 2 3/4" wheel and larger sizes are better.
I usually use 3 - 3 1/2" wheels on my planes that I fly off of a grass runway. It may look a little funny, but it allows the plane to handle the bumps better and provides more ground clearance for the prop.
