Questions and Answers: What batteries?
Help! I bought one of the old style Tower Hobbies digital mini-tach with stock # HCAP0400 at a swap meet but it has no batteries and nowhere on the box or on the tach does it specify the batteries that are needed. I know it uses wrist watch type batteries but need the exact number for the batteries. Can anyone supply me with this information? I would be most appreciative.

Wow, that's a tough one- I'd suggest calling Tower tech services. They're usually pretty good with questions like this.

I have that exact model. I got tired of replacing the button cells all the time and added a 4 AA battery box to the bottom of the tach. 4 Duracells will power that think forever. I believe any 3v button cell that will fit the holder will do just fine. The tack runs on 6vdc.
