I am finishing a Hanger 9 P-51 with a YS .91 four stoke. Can someone recommend the proper prop to use with this engine. Some sources recommend a 14 x 8 and others a 14 x10. Thanks

14x10 seems a bit chunky for that motor, it would probably swing the 14x8 nicely. YS's perform the best at 9000-9500 rpm

I agree. My Enya 90 also swings a 3 blade 13x7 very nicely.

The YS 91 in good shape will spin a APC 14x10 at 9000rpm on Powermaster ys20/20 all day long. You might want to try a 15x8 APC just for kicks.

You'd probably have better luck with a 15X6 than a 15X8. But, for a 12 pound mustang, I'd go with a 15X4~6

A YS will swing a bigger prop than another brand with the same displacement.

I usually run a 14x7 Graupner on my YS 91, but I have also used up to a 15x8 with very good results
