Default Painting Alumiumn Landing gear

Can anyone tell me what primer to use...before I put the top coat on.

Sand the gear a little, prime with spray primer from the paint store; white if will be a light color, grey if a dark color. I have used latex over the primer with a poly clear coat and it stood up to quite a few of my " bend and straighten " landings. You could also sand or file off any sharp corners to remove stress points and help the paint cover more completely.
