Curious question about 4* LG
Hi guys!
I'm just wondering, why does the landing gear have 3 holes on each side? One for the axle, that's easy.. but what about those two other smaller holes??

Curious question about 4* LG
I'm going to go with the previous post and say they are for optional wheel pants. Keep in mind that Sig may also use the same landing gear for other planes that come with wheel pants.

yeah, they are for wheel pants. They show the mounting in the instruction manual or plans (I forget) but it still isn't very clear how the correct way to build them is.

Wheel pants
The gear used for the four star 60 is the same gear used for the hog bipe (I have both). The hog has plastic wheel pants with detailed instructions for mounting them.
The wheel pants have a 1/8" lite ply laminated inside with 4-40 bind nuts, 2 4-40 bolts come throught the holes mentioned to hold them in place.
