Your 'most relaxing' plane?
I recently bought a big,used, ugly pink and blue 'Lazy Bee' at the LHS that the owner was trying to get rid of. Turned out to be one of my prized possesions. Just plain fun watching it chug along on a Sunday afternoon. Can just about land it in my hand. Next to that, I have an Eagle 2 which is about un-crashable! I've had it for years with the same ole pawn shop purchased Enya that's never been tweaked. Admittedly, I learned to fly with that plane and re-kitted it several times. The tail feathers sit a little cock-eyed and the covering's pretty frayed, but easy to fly. I call it my 'Ford' for reliability. The rest of my stuff seems to be stress inducing to fly.

Easy answer ...
My (now dead) 1/4 scale Nosen L4 Cub. A bit heavy and over powered, but it was always a fun, friendly bird. Sadly, was consumed by a radio fault. Though the wings were mostly unhurt, the forward fuselage was so broken up, that I could get all the pieces in a shoe box. The plane was over 20 years old and I guess the glue and balsa just gave out.
Planning a replacement.

I have a Kadet LT 40, no dihedral, OS70 Ultimate, Fuel tank moved back to center of Gravity,
changed to tail dragger, flys so smooth and easy, take offs and landing are a joy, does axle rolls nicely, putts around at 1/4 throttle.

Most relaxing:
(1) Hangar 9 Arrow - it'll fly in any wind conditions, goes where I point it, and lands softly
(2) BTE Venture 60 - easier to fly than the Arrow, but it generates more tension thinking about all the build time I've got in it!

I love to fly my Sig Kadet Senior that I converted to a tail dragger and made it a bolt down wing. No hassle with rubber bands and the plane almost lands standing still. It is one very relaxing plane to fly. I'm building a Super Cub right now for the same reason. It will do a lot more but can be flown lazy also.

Goldberg Eagle and the Electric Wing Dragon from Hobby Lobby. I'm sure there are others out there...just haven't tried them yet.

My flying buddy built one the the small Quakers. He has it covered in transparent yellow and red. He calls it the Quaker Flash, which is probably what it was called when he built on back in the 1930s. It has an OS .10 or .15 in it, something really small. Every time he brings it, I steal it to fly. I can grab a chair, my Diet Coke, lean back and watch history in the air while pumping him about what he flew before WW II. It just hangs up there and floats and I can forget about being on the stick every microsecond. Very relaxing. Isn't modelling great!

Ahh, that's an easy one! I used to have (and am building another) a Dragon Lady 40 powered by a Saito 50. WHAT a sweet-flying little bird that was! Just a pleasure to fly around and do touch-and-goes with.. Not super-powered or totally aerobatic, but a great flier with great slow-handling characteristics. I remember that I had added an aftermarket set of glass landing gear and moved them a touch forward. Absolutely the most relaxing-to-fly plane I've ever owned. A word of advice, though. We all have that kinda crazy friend who cannot resist trying to flat-spin your plane when you tell him not because your CG is off today and you have to change it before that can be done again. When you find that "perfect" plane for you, DO NOT let him fly your plane! Like a kid you tell not to push that red button, he's gonna push it, he's gonna FLAT SPIN your plane right into the ground! That should explain why I'm building another!

Must be my Top Flite 1/7th scale P-51D with the OS 108 2 stroke in her snout. Effortless takeoffs, knife cutting performance in the air and glass smooth landings with her drawers down. Those Robart econo scale retracts are awesome.
