Default New carb on 46fx

Hi all
I just replaced the carb on my crashed 46fx with a used unit bought on E-Bay. Problem - The low speed adjustment. What is the initial setting from the fully closed position to begin with? I have tried to get this through the manual, but maybe I just don't understand. Thank you all in advance.

Try 1 1/2 turns out on the low end needle - do the pinch test at idle to see if your too rich or lean at that starting point and adjust in small increments. You want a slight increase in RPM before the engine dies when you pinch the fuel line closed.

1 1/2 turns? This must be my problem. I found it to be only about 1/4 of a turn out. Thank You very much.
