Shipping RC Aircraft? Who do you use?
#1

I know not a exciting subject, but would like to get people's opinions on who they use for shipping. I know the big three UPS, FedEx, & DHL. I was thinking of using Greyhound Package Express, has anybody used them and what did you think.
I want to make sure the package arrives safe. Thanks in advance.

I had a warbird shipped Greyhound. No problems with damage, and it was pretty cheap compared to the others, but even though they had my phone number, and claimed to have called, they never called to let me know it had arrived... I had call them to check on it.

I usually go with Greyhound. No problems yet, other than notification of arrival. Downside of Greyhound, is the limited insurance available, however I have never needed to file a claim. There was a case few months back, posted on RCU, where Greyhound lost a model. Poof, gone.
Don't know how that case ever came out.
I have shipped 2 models with Forward Air, 1 was completely destroyed, (they stacked a crate with a machine lathe on top of it), and second was damaged by by a wayward fork from a forklift driver. F/A payed the claim on the destroyed model, and gave the remains back to me to salvage the engine and parts. That did soften the blow a little.
