kyosho Pitts S 2C
Was wondering what the throws for the Elevetor Rudder,and ailerons for general fight are.It is on a 40 size plane.My book does not tell me the recommened throws.

my book does not tell you what they are. It only tells you what the c.g. is at. The book is fairly poor.Was wondering if someone has one,that has been flying it,so I have some idea before i do the maiden flight.thx

G'day Mate,
Ok, I would start at about 1/2" to 5/8" throw up & 1/2" to 5/8" down, on Elevators, & ailerons, as much rudder as you can get, then set your duel rates at low rate 60% for elevators, & ailerons, & 50% for rudder,
So to recap, elevators & ailerons are high rate, 1/2" to 5/8", & low rate 60% of that.
rudder high rate, full throw, low rate, 50% of that.
This is only a rough starting point, if it looks like you need more throw, judging by eye & experience, & be aware, I don't know how big your control surfaces are, then give it a bit more, & make sure your rates are set so that, at the lower rate, you have somewhere to go if it is too sensitive.
