Default FOUR-STAR 40 CG

I just bought a used FOUR-STAR 40, that needs a little work. From seeing them at the club sight, I know they can be good flying models. I would like to know, what is the best CG for sport flying with an intermedit pilot.
Engine offset and control serfice trows, would be helpful too. Thanks for your help.

The CG is 3 inches back from the leading edge of the wing would be a good start then you can move it back just a little at a time not to exceed 3 1/2 inches be carefull though.
Elevators are 1/2 up and 1/2 down
Ailerons 5/8 up and 5/8 down
Rudder 1inch left and right.
You can always use your D/R rates also, but these measurements will give you a good start.
Great Plane, and good luck.
Remember to ballance it with the fuel tank empty.

You dont really need any motor offset.
Also do you have a Aileron positioning guide? you might borrow one from somebody at your flying site, it is helpfull to start out with.

The manual says that it should balance on the top main spar when held in an inverted position. You can slowly work it back from there if you feel you need to, just be careful and make very slight adjustments.
