Default Katana Mini + Saito 4 stroke ??

Hi,

I am looking for a small low wing to fit my Saito fa-40 4 stroke (6.6cc ) into.

I want to buy the Katana Mini and fit my Saito into it ??

Has anybody fitted a glow engine into a model that was ment for electric ??

Will it work ??

Thanks.

Although I would like to see it...I wouldnt do it. The .40 is very powerful for it's size and will vibrate the Katana mini into sticks in a short time. I think that plane is just too light for a Saito FA-40 but I may be wrong. If you do it please post a video so we can see it!

I have a katana mini, and a 4 stroke would vibrate the thing apart. It's the best built ARF that I have ever bought, but there's no way that it could handle a 4 stroke. I have a saito .91 in and ultimate bipe, and I know how much it vibrates that one !!

O dear []

Could anybody sugest an actractive small scaleish low wing I could fit my FA-40 into. It must be small as it needs to fit in my car in one .

I'm thinking 3 1/2 foot wide.

Thanks

The Saito FA-40 is not a match for a KATANA MINI. If you do, you will spend time and money for nothing, except for the curiosity to see something unusual.
I understand that when we (modelers) are stuck to some fancy idea it can be difficult to remove but, please, in this case you should really push yourself harder to hold it on.
For a Saito FA-40, in the shops there are plenty of wonderful ARF's for any budget.
Can I suggest you one?
Great Planes Dazzler 40 ARF .32-.46 engine, wingspan 48" at $ 95.

Hi,

You say there are plenty of models out there to take this Saito 40 4 stroke.

Can you give me a list of some others.

The Great Planes Dazzler 40 looks OK,

Thanks
