Default car verse airplane fuel

Can anyone tell me the difference in the make up of airplane full and car fuel? I know all hobby shop owners tell you to only run car fuel in you cars or it will damage you engine. If it has enough lubrication I don't see what differecne it would make.It is all made with alcohol, nitromethane and what ever lubricant the manufactuer desides what they think is the best.Does anyone out there really know the differnce.if so please let me know.

Go do some reading of contents of various mixes. I would try the PowerMaster site.

I don't what types of fuel you run in cars, but a fuel with 18% oil and anywhere from 5 to 15% nitro is good for airplane engines

there is not enough oil in the car fuel, most car fuels only have about 10% oil. the plane motors seem to want more than that like Minnfly said.

get different color fuel than what you use for you trucks, if possible.

anyone ever swallow glow fuel by mistake?

FWIW: If you were to try a gas/glow mix in a converted gasoline engine. the car fuel with 10% lub is just right for lubrication when mixed 1 part car fuel to 2 parts gasoline. You end up with 30:1 (.03.3%) lube and 25% methanol (5% nitro) which will allow glow plug to function.
